Planning electrical work alongside a new home or building

New-build electrical is a confirmed Legacy Power Solutions service. Describe the planned home or building, its intended use and the stage your project has reached. Early plans can help explain what you want, but you do not need a final technical specification before making an enquiry. Ask which information is needed to assess the electrical scope for your property.

Your Kumbia property, your brief

Kumbia is a confirmed service community. Plan your electrical enquiry alongside your new home or building, so the conversation starts with how the property will be used. Tell us about the property and the reason for the request. Our team is based in Kingaroy; this page does not imply a separate local office or a history of completed projects in Kumbia. Scope, access and timing are discussed directly.

Bring the builder into the conversation

Identify your builder or project contact, if appointed, and explain who will make decisions about the proposed electrical work. A plan revision, a change in how a room is used or an updated project schedule can affect the brief. Discuss coordination and access before assuming a particular sequence or attendance date.

Separate the building work from the supply connection

Electrical work within a new building and establishing its electricity supply are related questions, but not necessarily the same responsibility. Depending on the property, the supply distributor, metering provider, builder and licensed trades may each have a role. Ask what Legacy Power Solutions can undertake and which arrangements need to be confirmed with other parties.

A useful brief starts here.

Include these details in your message. There is no need to inspect wiring or diagnose equipment.

Questions before you enquire

When should I enquire about new-build electrical?

You can enquire while planning. Tell us your current project stage and whether a builder is appointed, so the information and next steps needed can be discussed. Attendance and work dates are agreed directly.

What plans should I have ready?

If you have building plans or a project brief, mention them in your message. The form does not collect attachments; the team can explain how any further information should be shared.

Does a new-build quote automatically include a power connection?

Do not assume that it does. Ask separately about initial connections, the proposed electrical scope and the responsibilities of the distributor, metering provider and other project parties.

Can I request new-build electrical for a property in Kumbia?

Yes, Kumbia is in the confirmed coverage directory and new-build electrical is a confirmed offering. Describe your particular request so available scope and arrangements can be discussed. Coverage does not guarantee an attendance date or every possible subtype of work.
